Pitch Adaptor Base Flashing (VS/VSE/VSS/FS)

A crucial part of any skylight installation is the flashing system which is used to surround the skylight in the roof. The flashing is used as a way to ensure your skylight is waterproof.

The type of flashing you need depends on the type of material used on your roof and the pitch of your roof. Shire Skylights manufacture a pitch adaptor base flashing to suit the entire VELUX range, this will ensure the weatherproof integrity of your VELUX skylight.

VELUX Pitched roof skylights (FS,VS,VSE) are designed to be installed at a minimum 15 Degree roof pitch. In Australia a Low pitch roof design (Flat roof) is becoming more and more common in a range of profiles such as, Tile, Klip Lock, Trim deck, Corrugated and Concrete. In order to install a VELUX pitched roof skylight on a low pitch design Shire Skylights manufacture a pitch adaptor base flashing to suit the entire VELUX range, this will ensure the weather proof integrity of your VELUX skylight.
